Q1. Why do the papyrus' pictures feature "papyrus-museum.com" on them?
A1. We have added this on the pictures to make it more difficult for people to use our work without our permission as these pictures are the result of hard and lengthy work. Do not worry, this doesn't feature on the paintings that you buy. |
Q2. Why on the pictures some lines in the paintings which should be parallel are not?
A2. All these lines are perfectly parralel on the real piece. On the picture, it is due to the camera focus. If we had taken the pictures from a more remote distance, these lines would appear parallel on the pictures. |
Q3. Why do we see some black patches on the yellow papyrus paper of some paintings?
A3.This is due to the background used when we took the pictures which was black. Some areas on the paper are naturally thiner than others, and the background (the black wall that we hooked the paintings on) can be seen through these areas. We recommand the use of white background (a simple white sheet if not a white wall) to place the paintings on. |
Q4. How can we be sure that the paintings are hand made?
A4.. We cannot prove to you that they are handmade before you have the paintings in your hands. However once you have it, look at the paintings with a light behind it and close enough so you see the variations caused by the pencil.

A5. We supply with each papyrus an official certificate of authenticity. |
Q6. Why are your prices 10 to 20 times cheaper than all other websites and stores selling papyrus paintings and paper?
A6. This is because we have our own papyrus factory, have a very high turnover , specialize only in papyrus, have the biggest online papyrus store and the biggest physical store/museum in all of Egypt and the world. |
